What information is published?Personal contact details of the reporting party are not normally published on StolenArt.eu.The public case record may contain information about the artwork, such as photographs, artist, title, dimensions, material, date and location of the reported theft and other relevant identifying information.Additional material, such as press articles, photographs, CCTV images or other documentation, may be published where appropriate and where this is lawful and relevant to the purpose of the case.

Confidential informationInformation provided to StolenArt.eu for verification purposes, including contact details and police report references, is treated as confidential and is not made publicly available as part of the case listing.Such information will only be shared with third parties where there is a lawful basis to do so, where this is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or where disclosure is required by law.

Keeping information accurateBecause the purpose of StolenArt.eu is to help identify and recover missing artworks, accurate information is important.We may therefore contact reporting parties periodically to ask whether:the artwork is still missing;the police case is still active;contact information is still correct;photographs or other information need to be updated;the case should remain publicly visible.Reporting parties can also contact us at any time with updates.

Your rightsUnder applicable data-protection legislation, individuals may have rights including:the right to access their personal data;the right to correct inaccurate information;the right to request deletion of personal information;the right to restrict certain processing;the right to object to certain processing;where applicable, the right to data portability.Requests concerning personal data can be submitted through the contact details provided on this website.We may need to verify the identity of the person making a request before providing or changing personal information.
